What We Learned From a Week of Homemade Lunches: Sandwiches Are Amazing

Here at the BA headquarters, assistant web editor Christina Chaey and I are wrapping up the first week of our #HackYourLunch challenge. It was inspired by WNYC Leonard Lopate, who challenged New Yorkers to bring their lunch from home every day for a week. “That’s easy,” we thought. We vowed to bring our lunch to work every day for a whole month.

So, here at the end of week one, we’re reflecting on the grain bowls, salads, and sandwiches. Was it easy? Not as much as we thought it’d be. We both learned some valuable lessons, which we’ll be filing…
