Wendy’s Twitter storm ends with a year’s worth of nuggets

May 9, 2017

Twitter served The Wendy’s Co. an enormous nugget of good news Tuesday: A fan’s off-hand chicken nuggets mention officially hit the record for the most retweeted post in history.

With more than 3.4 million retweets as of Tuesday morning, the April 5 #NuggsForCarter post by 16-year-old Carter Wilkerson of Reno, Nev., passed the record set by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres’s Oscars Tweet of 2015.
