The James Beard Foundation Is Looking for a President
This is one of the most prestigious jobs in the food world
Huge news in the food world: The James Beard Foundation has just announced via press release that longtime president Susan Ungaro will be stepping down at the end of the year. The Foundation’s board will be conducting a “national search” for their next leader.
It’s worth noting that this is one of the most prestigious and highest paid jobs for non-chefs non-television stars in the food world. As of 2016, Ungaro was taking home an impressive $350,000 – $385,000 yearly, according to this JBF tax return (PDF).
