Subway Named a Street After Itself
The sandwich slinger is doing it up big for its 50th anniversary.
The world’s biggest restaurant chain turns 50 this year, and to celebrate its entry into middle-age Subway named a street after itself. A portion of the road in Milford, Connecticut where Subway’s headquarters are located has officially been dubbed — wait for it — Sub Way, reports the Milford Mirror.
Sub Way only extends a mile-and-a-half, however. Consumerist points out that the rest of the brand-inundated street will still be referred to as Bic Drive, as the manufacturer of ballpoint pens and lighters was formerly headquartered there (and still has…
