Blueberries! What’s not to love about these sweet, tart, antioxidant-packed little gems? Get ‘em at the peak of the season, and they’re impossibly addictive. We like bake them into pies, both large and individually-sized, purée them into frozen desserts, and just eat them by the handful.

HOW TO BUY
Avoid blueberries that look very green around their tops. That’s a sign that they’re not fully ripe, and will taste aggressively tart. Overly mature berries will have a mealy texture, so if you can, sample one or two before purchasing.
