High-Tech 3D Printer Makes Boats Out of Marzipan

Who wouldn’t want a 3D marzipan boat to call their own? According to 3Dprint.com, German startup Print2Taste is bringing a high-tech food printer called Bocusini to market that’s capable of making your wildest marzipan dreams come to life. The company, which launched a successful Kickstarter campaign in May, plans to unveil its first model in February 2016.

The WiFi-controlled, open-source printer retails for approximately $1,014 USD and is available for pre-order now. Bocusini comes with retrofitting options that expand the printer’s capabilities and pre-filled “natural” food cartridges that offer the correct consistency for accurate 3D printing, including liver pâté, cookie dough, chocolate,…
