Kevin Ouzts is out to change the world.

The ginger-bearded Georgian, the chef and owner of Cockentrice in Krog Street Market, is hellbent on bringing great meats back to his state, and he’s willing to recreate the Atlanta food world to do it.

Ouzts credits his love of food to watching his dad build an eight-foot-by-ten-foot smoker in their backyard when he was eight years old. Later, he spent nights watching his mother work in a ’50s-style diner in downtown Atlanta.
