60 pizza-makers create nearly mile-long 'pie' in Milan

Does size matter? If you’re going for a Guinness World Record and you’ve got 18 hours to wait around for the payoff, length means everything.  In this case, the tasty record-setter was the world’s largest pizza–a nearly mile-long (5,234 feet) margherita pie baked for 18 hours at the Milan, Italy’s world’s fair, Expo 2015.

According to Foxnews.com, the mother ship of all pizzas was a labor of love for more than 60 of Italy’s best pizza-makers who worked through the night June 20. The result earned official certification that day by Guinness’ World Records judge that the cheesy behemoth was indeed the world’s longest pizza.
